Our Projects

What we’re working on

Cue

The Cue Project tenements cover a total area of over 600km2 and is centered approximately 60km northwest of the town of Cue and 670km NNE of Perth in Western Australia. the Project is only a mere 1.5 km from Westgold’s Big Bell gold deposit (2.9 Moz) and benefits from established mining infrastructure and nearby processing facilities.

The Cue project is primarily considered prospective for orogenic gold mineralisation within the greenstone belt associated with second order shear zones. The combination of favourable host rock sequences, large-scale alteration systems and a complex of intersections, regional faults and shears, chiefly the Big Bell and Cuddingwarra Shear, both of which host major gold deposits makes the Cue project highly favourable for further gold mineralisation.

The Cue Project is directly along strike from the world class Big Bell gold mine operated by Westgold (ASX:WGX). Big Bell has produced over 3Moz and currently has a mineral resources of 24.4M tonnes at 3.0 g/t Au for 2.3 Moz of Au.
Golden Dragon have identified multiple gold targets along these prospective shear zone and presents as a compelling target for Golden Dragon to pursue.

Exploration work to date has confirmed a strong correlation between gold mineralisation and major regional structures, including the Big Bell Anticline, Big Bell Shear Zone (BBSZ), Cuddingwarra Shear, and several north–south trends. Historical work consisted largely of shallow RAB drilling traverses that failed to intersect the targeted shear zones at depth. As a result, significant portions of the 50 km structural corridors remain untested by modern AC, RC or diamond drilling.

A structured exploration pipeline has been developed that integrates geophysics, geochemistry, structural interpretation, and historical data review to identify and rank targets and prioritise follow‑up. This framework provides a consistent basis for comparing prospects and enables efficient progression from early‑stage anomalies through to resource development.

Targets that Golden Dragon consider advanced and drill ready are Behing Bore, Coodardy, Stockyard East, Stockyard West, Big Bell North, Jeffery Well, Cuddingwarra, and the Yalgowra Prospects.

Behring Bore prospect has been a key focus for Golden Dragon identified as a drill ready advanced Prospect.

Drilling to date has successfully intersected high-grade gold associated with northeast trending quartz veining within a broader mineralised system, confirming the presence and continuity of significant gold mineralisation. Gold is hosted within the upper portion of an altered, pyritic dolerite and associated high-grade quartz lodes.  Results build on earlier first-pass drilling at Behring Bore, materially increasing geological confidence and supporting the interpretation that the prospect forms part of a larger, coherent gold-bearing system with significant potential for expansion.

The mineralised altered, pyritic dolerite has been consistently intersected along the eastern portion of all drill lines and represents a compelling priority target area for further exploration.

Coodardy

Coodardy, one of the Company’s advanced prospects within the Cue Gold Project in Western Australia’s Murchison Goldfields, continues to demonstrate strong potential for scale, continuity, and near‑surface development.

Golden Dragon’s latest drilling program has delivered a series of strong results, including a standout intersection of 12m at 6.50 g/t Au from 44m (26CD014) with 4m at 17.60 g/t Au, alongside the discovery of a new high‑grade north‑east‑oriented trend.

Multiple shallow intersections further demonstrate the strength of the system, such as 28m at 1.00 g/t Au from surface (26CD001), 32m at 1.01 g/t Au from 4m (26CD004), 8m at 2.90 g/t Au from 28m (26CD012) and 12m at 1.36 g/t Au from 24m (26CD015).

Consistent mineralisation across several drillholes confirms continuity, while the system remains open along strike and at depth, highlighting clear potential for further growth. These results continue to support the opportunity for future resource definition and open‑pit development at Coodardy. Importantly, results highlight the emergence of a previously untested high‑grade north‑east trend, reinforcing the potential for continued growth as drilling advances.

Jeffery Well

The Jeffrey Well prospect is located along a north–northeast striking shear zone that separates felsic sequences of the Polelle Group to the east from mafic units of the Wattagee Formation to the west. The prospect is associated with the Chunderloo Shear Zone, a regional-scale northeast-trending structure forming the western margin of the greenstone sequence.

Drilling has defined a gold anomalous zone approximately 1,000 m by 500 m in extent. The weathering profile is interpreted to extend to depths of approximately 40–50 m, with underlying bedrock comprising sediments, metabasalts, and ultramafic units.

The prospect has been explored through multiple phases of soil sampling, RAB, AC, and RC drilling by several operators, including Pancontinental Mining (1989), Dalrymple Resources NL (1992–1997), Homestake (1997), MPI, and more recently Alchemy Resources Limited.

Alchemy completed two AC drilling programs in 2010 and 2011, totalling 77 holes for 7,131 m. Golden Dragon intends to follow up on these significant historic results now that tenement E20/1072 has been recently granted.
